Frances is passionate about 18th century mandolin music and devotes much of her time to exploring and performing the repertoire, much of which it still relatively unknown even by mandolin enthusiasts. She plays at both modern and baroque pitch, using either her Embergher or Pecoraro mandolins or her copy of a Vinaccia. Whatever the instrument or pitch Frances always gives careful attention to the details of baroque performance practice.
